"THE ITALIAN JOB"
I recently had an interesting commission from a very passionate Ferrari 328 owner. John F. had ordered my Limited Edition print, "Storia di Otto", and was now ready to memorialize his treasured 328 GTS. John sent imagery (see below), documentation and a very special request... "let's celebrate the origins of the car and do the entire text body in Italian!"
John and I then spent some time trading e mails & phone calls to discuss his specific wishes regarding view (driver's side / rear quarter) and text body. I then developed a line drawing which was then submitted for approval.
Line Drawing & Composition
... and the finished illustration.
The Italian text was a challenge but gave this a feeling like it was produced alongside the car. In fact, this one is a sort of sister illustration to a Porsche illustration which I've created in a new "Kardex Format". They both have this unique factory document quality to them and I look forward to expanding the option based on client interest & resonse.

John and his wife were very pleased with the results and sent along a couple photos of the unveiling and placement. It was a pleasure working on this one and pushed me to a new level - Thank you!
NEW PRINT RELEASE

The print features Otto favorites such as the Serie Speciale, Serie Fiorano, Callenge Stradale, F430 Scuderiaand the Scuderia Spider 16M... oh yea, and Magnum's 308 GTS!
Readers of Forza Magazine will be familiar with the work of Staff Illustrator, Steve Anderson, and for the first time, the archive of original artwork has been carefully edited and remastered for this very special commemorative print. The finished product is available in two finishes, a heavy weight poster and a limited edition fine art print (series of 250 prints).
Earlier this year, I was contacted by Stephen O. with a request to create an illustration which captured his two loves in one image. Stephen is an ardent M3 enthusiast as well as a fan and practiced driver of Germany's famed Nurburgring. He asked if I could do a layout which featured a couple views of his 2010 E92 M3, one with the wheels as delivered and one showing the later mods to wheels & exhaust system and a backdrop which included a 'Ring trackmap with his favorite corners... called out by name!
Stephen sent a couple sample images, the really cool "Delivery Day" shots... can't believe he could focus on such an exciting event.
I then created a line drawing / composition based on some e mails & conversation. This helps ensure we're "on the same page" before the time consuming rendering process begins.
And a few weeks later, it was ready!
Simply awesome. I couldn't be happier.
Working with an enthusiast like Stephen was such a pleasure and makes what I do so enjoyable. Give me a call (818.822.3063) or send an e mail (firstname.lastname@example.org) to discuss that special project to celebrate your passion for cars. Whether a simple profile illustration or something more involved like Stephen's 2 view, I'd look forward to discussing it with you.

2006 had barely gotten started when I was asked to become Staff Illustrator for Ferrari-focused FORZA Magazine. Like the work previously commissioned by Excellence Magazine, the FORZA body of work portrays Ferrari street & dual-purpose automobiles from the 166 to present day cars like Enzo, 360 & 575. I work directly with Editor, Aaron Jenkins in selecting the model and color combinations which reflect the different eras, body styles and color palette (no, all Ferraris are not red).
I've also recently earned the privilege of being approved by Ferrari SpA. as an officially licensed artist of Ferrari automobiles. To celebrate this accomplishment, I've released an initial series of prints featuring the cars images and build data within the production segments and eras that have defined this spectacular marque. I strive for the highest quality in all of my work and am thrilled to have this acknowledgement.
Since 2001, I've had the honor of being the Staff Illustrator for Excellence Magazine. Working with Editor, Pete Stout, we created an archive depicting Porsche production that captures all of the nuances of each era. From the "Outlaw" style '56 Speedster with cast headlamp guards and cap-less wheels to the (rare) Zanzibar 996 C4S, these illustrations have helped further distinguish Excellence as a true enthusiast's publication.
Please see the "Art Prints" page for recently introduced Excellence Magazine Archive model-specific prints.
Look for my advertisements in Ross Publications' Excellence, Forza and Corvette Magazines.
I've also recently earned the privilege of being selected by Dr. Ing. h.c.F. Porsche AG to be an officially licensed artist of Porsche automobiles. It is a very few who hold this distinction as it based solely on Porsche's judgement of work submission, not by financial arangement. I strive for the highest quality in all of my work and am thrilled to have this acknowledgement.
